06.21.23 CIN-TFC Petretta Simulation-Embellishment 14min

It is the Committee's unanimous decision that Toronto FC defender Raoul Petretta is guilty of simulation/embellishment. Mr. Petretta will be issued a fine for this action





 


06.21.23 POR-CHI Mass-Confrontation 88min

It is the Committee's unanimous decision that Chicago Fire FC have been found in violation of the Mass Confrontation Policy.  This is the third violation of the 2023 MLS Season for the Club.  Chicago Fire FC will be fined and Head Coach Frank Klopas will be fined.  Each violation thereafter will result in the doubling of the fine.

 Due to their role in the mass confrontation, the following individuals have been identified for supplemental discipline:

  • Chicago Fire FC goalkeeper Chris Brady will be issued a fine for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation.

  • Chicago Fire FC defender Wyatt Omsberg will be issued a fine for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation.

  • Chicago Fire FC midfielder Maren Haile-Selassie will be issued a fine for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation.

  • Chicago Fire FC forward Kei Kamara will be issued a fine for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation.

  • Chicago Fire FC defender Arnaud Souquet will be issued a fine for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation (second violation of 2023 MLS Season).

  • Chicago Fire FC defender Rafael Czichos will be issued a fine for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation (second violation of 2023 MLS Season).

  • Chicago Fire FC midfielder Gaston Gimenez will be issued a fine for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation (third violation of the 2023 MLS Season).

  • Chicago Fire FC midfielder Federico Navarro will be issued a fine for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation (third violation of the 2023 MLS Season).

Bench Behavior Policy Violation

CHI Bench Players and Non-Players were observed leaving the bench to (1) egregiously protest an official’s decision; (2) express prolonged, aggressive dissent towards an official and/or; (3) engage in acts of unsporting and/or irresponsible behavior. The Club will receive an Official Warning with a fine held in abeyance for their 1st violation of the season.
