02.24.24 DC-NE Vrioni 2YC Failure to leave field 25min

It is the Committee's unanimous decision that New England Revolution forward Giacomo Vrioni failed to leave the field in a timely manner.  Mr. Vrioni will be issued a fine for this action.

 

02.25.24 CIN-TOR Mass Confrontation 56min

It is the Committee’s unanimous decision that Toronto FC has been found in violation of the Mass Confrontation Policy.  This is the first violation of the 2024 MLS Season for the Club.  Toronto FC and Head Coach John Herdman will be issued Official Warnings for this violation.  Any additional violation(s) of the policy will result in a fine to the Club and a fine to the Head Coach.  Each violation thereafter will result in the doubling of the fine.

Due to their role in the mass confrontation, the following individuals have been identified for supplemental discipline: 

  • Toronto FC midfielders Richie Laryea, Federico Bernardeschi, and forward Lorenzo Insigne will be issued fines for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation.

It is the Committee's unanimous decision that Nashville SC midfielder Sean Davis failed to leave the field in a timely manner.  Mr. Davis will be issued a fine for this action.

Competition Policy Violations

02.24.24 ATX-MIN

02.24.24 ATX-MIN ATX Arnaud Ball Retrieval Violations 42 & 46mins 

ATX Assistant Coach Davy Arnaud can be seen leaving the technical area to return a ball to a player on the field in attempt to speed up the play. In the second video, Coach Arnaud removes the ball from the midfield ball stand and delivers it to a MIN player for a throw in. ATX will receive an Official Warning with a fine held in abeyance for their first offense of the season.

MIA Bench Personnel Policy Violation - 02.25.24 vs. LAG

MIA had a non-rostered club staff member in the bench area, at field level, or in the locker room from ninety (90) minutes prior to kick-off until the conclusion of the match. MIA will receive an Official Warning with a fine held in abeyance.

 

2/24/24 ATX-MIN

ATX Video Board Replay Policy Violation 63 min

ATX violated the Policy in the 63 min by showing four (4) controversial replays on the video board: two (2) of which used slow-motion video and two (2) that were from an identical angle, and which failed to adhere to the rules related to angles. ATX will be issued a formal warning for their first violation of the season.
