Minnesota United FC have been found in violation of the Mass Confrontation Policy This is the second violation of the 2018 MLS Season for Minnesota United FC.  A fine will be issued to the Club, and a fine will be issued to the Head Coach.  Each violation thereafter will result in the doubling of the fine. The Committee may also identify individual players involved, which can lead to supplemental discipline (e.g., suspensions and/or fines).

The Colorado Rapids have been found in violation of the Mass Confrontation Policy.  This is the third violation of the 2018 MLS Season for the Colorado Rapids.  A fine will be issued to the Club, and a fine will be issued to the Head Coach. Each violation thereafter will result in the doubling of the fine. The Committee may also identify individual players involved, which can lead to supplemental discipline (e.g., suspensions and/or fines).

  • Marlon Hairston (COL) will be issued a fine for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation.

COL – Boli - bench behavior incites/escalates MC, entering field of play

  • Yannick Boli (COL) will be suspended for one (1) match and issued a fine for entering the field of play during a confrontational incident.

COL – Castillo - bench behavior incites/escalates MC

  • Edgar Castillo (COL) will be issued a fine for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation.

COL – Price - hands to the face-head-neck Kallman

  • Jack Price (COL) will be issued a fine for hands to the face/head/neck of an opponent.

MIN – H. Heath – RC - contact Hairston, entering field of play

  • Harrison Heath will be suspended for one (1) additional match (two (2) matches total) and issued an additional fine for entering the field of play during a confrontational incident

MIN – J. Pascarella - GK Coach dismissed - contact Hairston, entering field of play

  • John Pascarella (MIN) will be suspended for three (3) additional matches (four (4) matches total) and issued an additional fine for aggressive behavior toward an opponent and entering the field of play during a confrontational incident.

Targeted abusive language directed at players and Match Officials during the 90+5 Mass Confrontation and post-match.  At both times, items were also thrown at players and onto the field.
