06.26.22 LAFC-NYRB Ngoma Entering field of play 75min

It is the Committee’s unanimous decision that New York Red Bulls forward Serge Ngoma has been found in violation of the League’s policy regarding Entering the Field of Play.  Mr. Ngoma will be issued an Official Warning for this action.

06.26.22 PHI-NYC Rushing (PHI trainer) RC confrontation with players 77min

It is the Disciplinary Committee's unanimous decision that Philadelphia Union Head Athletic Trainer Paul Rushing will be suspended for one (1) additional match (two (2) matches total) and issued an additional fine for exhibiting physical and aggressive behavior toward opposition player(s).

During the 2 matches for which Rushing is suspended, he can participate in matchday related activities (e.g., Player care) in the locker room, but is prohibited from the field level, the bench area or the stadium tunnel area.

 

06.26.22 PHI-NYC Mass Confrontation 77min

It is the Committee’s unanimous decision that the Philadelphia Union have been found in violation of the Mass Confrontation Policy.  This is the second violation of the 2022 MLS Season for the Club.  The Philadelphia Union will be fined and Head Coach Jim Curtin will be fined.  Each violation thereafter will result in the doubling of the fine.

It is the Committee’s unanimous decision that New York City FC have been found in violation of the Mass Confrontation Policy.  This is the second violation of the 2022 MLS Season for the Club.  New York City FC will be fined and Head Coach Nick Cushing will be issued an Official Warning.  Each violation thereafter will result in the doubling of the fine.

Due to their role in the mass confrontation, the following individuals have been identified for supplemental discipline:

  • New York City FC player Nicolas Acevedo will be issued a fine for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation.

  • Philadelphia Union player Jose Martinez will be issued a fine for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation.

  • Philadelphia Union player Daniel Gazdag will be issued a fine for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation.

06.26.22 PHI-NYC Martinez Gesture post-match

It is the Committee's unanimous decision that Jose Martinez is guilty of an inappropriate gesture.  Mr. Martinez will be issued a fine for this action.

06.25.22 ATX-DAL

ATX Ball Retrieval Violation 90+4min

A Ball Retrieval violation by ATX bench personnel was observed in the 90+4 minute. For their first violation of the season, ATX will receive an Official Warning and a fine held in abeyance, which will be payable should they violate the same policy at any point again in the 2022 season.

DAL Assistant Coach Peter Luccin was observed approaching the Match Officials after the halftime whistle. He will be issued an Official Warning for his first violation of the policy this season.

ATX Head Coach Josh Wolff was observed approaching the Match Officials after the halftime whistle. He will be issued a fine for his second violation of the policy this season.

Audio Recording Device worked briefly in the first half and then lost power for the remainder of the match. Noted to MLS Operations.

LAFC Ball Retrieval Violations 52min, 73min

Ball Retrieval violations were observed by LAFC Bench Personnel in 52min and 73min. For their first violation of the season, LAFC will receive an Official Warning and a fine held in abeyance, which will be payable should they violate the same policy at any point again in the 2022 season.

LAFC Tomas Romero Bench Personnel Policy Violation

Non-rostered LAFC player Tomas Romero was observed at field level 23 minutes prior to kickoff. For their first violation of the season, LAFC will receive an Official Warning and a fine held in abeyance, which will be payable should they violate the same policy at any point again in the 2022 season.
