It is the Committee’s unanimous decision that the Seattle Sounders FC have been found in violation of the Mass Confrontation Policy. This is the second violation of the 2023 MLS Season for the Club. The Seattle Sounders FC will be fined and Head Coach Brian Schmetzer will be fined. Each violation thereafter will result in the doubling of the fine.
Due to their role in the mass confrontation, the following individuals have been identified for supplemental discipline:
Seattle Sounders FC defender Jackson Ragen will be issued a fine for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation.
Seattle Sounders FC defender Yeimar Andrade will be issued a fine for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation.
Seattle Sounders FC midfielder Joao Paulo will be issued a fine for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation.
Seattle Sounders FC midfielder Cristian Roldan will be issued a fine for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation.
Seattle Sounders FC midfielder Nico Lodeiro will be issued a fine for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation.
Seattle Sounders FC midfielder Albert Rusnak will be issued a fine for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation.
