For Isaac Atanga’s contact to the neck/throat of Alexander Callens in the 95+ minute of his match versus New York City FC on September 18, 2021, he will be suspended for one (1) game and fined. The one (1) game suspension and fine are in addition to the one (1) game suspension and fine related to his receipt of a red card in that match. Therefore, Mr. Atanga will be suspended for the September 25, 2021 match versus D.C. United and September 29, 2021 match versus Toronto FC.

It is the Committee’s unanimous decision that Austin FC have been found in violation of the Mass Confrontation Policy. The Club will be issued an Official Warning for their first violation. Any additional violation(s) of the policy will result in a fine to the Club and a fine to the Head Coach. Each violation thereafter will result in the doubling of the fine.
It is the Committee’s unanimous decision that the San Jose Earthquakes have been found in violation of the Mass Confrontation Policy. This is the second violation of the 2021 MLS Season for the Club. The San Jose Earthquakes will be fined and Head Coach Matias Almeyda and Assistant Coach Omar Zarif will be issued Official Warnings. Each violation thereafter will result in the doubling of the fine.

It is the Committee’s unanimous decision that San Jose Earthquakes Assistant Coach Guido Bonini has been found in violation of the League’s policy regarding Entering the Field of Play. Mr. Bonini will be issued an Official Warning for this action.

Although there will not be supplemental discipline issued at this time, Kacper Przybylko will be placed on ‘Official Warning’ for Violent Conduct for the remainder of the 2021 MLS Season (including MLS Playoffs).

The second half started two minutes late due to DAL arriving to the field late. Noted to MLS Operations.
A food item was thrown by a spectator and hit AR1 in the 75th minute. Noted to MLS Security & Operations.
A food item was thrown by a spectator onto the field in the 76th minute. Noted to MLS Security & Operations.
The match was stopped in the 77th minute to allow for the PA Announcer to request that items not be thrown onto the field based on the Match Officials’ request. The Referee needed to restart the match before the announcement was finally made in the 81st minute. Noted to MLS Security & Operations.

The first half kick-off started a minute late due to smoke from the supporters’ section. Smoke was also emitted after the CIN goal causing challenges for the broadcast and VAR. Noted to MLS Security & Operations.
The second half kick-off started late due to NYC arriving late to the field. Noted to MLS Operations.
Spectators threw water bottles and beer cans onto the field nearly hitting AR2 in the 58th minute. Noted to MLS Security & Operations.
Due to verbal threats from spectators behind AR1 in the 60th minute, AR1 requested security to be placed along the sideline behind him. It took 12 minutes to respond. Noted to MLS Security & Operations.
Security at the 4th Official’s Table was observed celebrating CIN’s goal with the CIN team after their first goal in the 5th minute. Further, this security member stationed at the 4th Official’s was observed laughing with the medical crew about a request to have security assigned behind AR1. He did not address the request by either moving to the area behind AR1 or asking others to do so. Noted to MLS Security & Operations.
After the final whistle, as the Match Officials walked off the field, the spectators threw a beer can toward the officiating crew. Noted to MLS Security & Operations.
After the final whistle, in the tunnel, a home Club grounds crew representative, John Thomas, was making taunting gestures at the match officials. Noted to MLS Security & Operations.
