10.16.21 TOR-ATL mass confrontation 85min
It is the Committee’s unanimous decision that Toronto FC have been found in violation of the Mass Confrontation Policy. The Club will be issued an Official Warning for their first violation. Any additional violation(s) of the policy will result in a fine to the Club and a fine to the Head Coach. Each violation thereafter will result in the doubling of the fine.
It is the Committee’s unanimous decision that Atlanta United FC have been found in violation of the Mass Confrontation Policy. This is the second violation of the 2021 MLS Season for the Club. Atlanta United FC will be fined and Head Coach Gonzalo Pineda will be issued an Official Warning. Each violation thereafter will result in the doubling of the fine.
Due to their role in the mass confrontation, the following individuals have been identified for supplemental discipline:
Assistant Coach Rob Valentino (ATL) will be issued a fine for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation.
Richie Laryea (TOR) will be issued a fine for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation.

The second half kick-off started late due to DC substitutes not being ready for entry. Noted to MLS Operations.

In added time, the Match Director was informed that a fan behind the COL bench threw a drink that hit one of the COL substitute(d) players. The Match Director informed RSL operations personnel. Noted to MLS Security & Operations.
The second half kick-off was delayed a minute because COL was late coming out of their locker room. Noted to MLS Operations.

NYC assistant coach, Efrain Juarez, was identified accessing a ball from the 4th Official’s Table and throwing it toward the field in the 87th minute. Competition will discipline the Club with an official warning for a first time offense.
