10.20.21 DAL-LAFC mass confrontation post-match

It is the Committee’s unanimous decision that FC Dallas have been found in violation of the Mass Confrontation Policy.  The Club will be issued an Official Warning for their first violation.  Any additional violation(s) of the policy will result in a fine to the Club and a fine to the Head Coach.  Each violation thereafter will result in the doubling of the fine.

It is the Committee’s unanimous decision that Los Angeles FC have been found in violation of the Mass Confrontation Policy.  This is the second violation of the 2021 MLS Season for the Club.  Los Angeles FC will be fined and Head Coach Bob Bradley will be fined.  Each violation thereafter will result in the doubling of the fine.

Due to their role in the mass confrontation, the following individuals have been identified for supplemental discipline:

  • Raheem Edwards (LAFC) will be issued a fine for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation (second violation of the 2021 MLS Season)

  • Franco Jara (DAL) will be issued a fine for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation (second violation of the 2021 MLS Season)

  • Assistant Coach Drew Keeshan (DAL) will be issued a fine for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation

  • Team Administrator Davor Bezich (DAL) will be issued a fine for inciting and/or escalating a mass confrontation

10.20.21 DAL-LAFC Phelipe contact Edwards post-match

It is the Disciplinary Committee's unanimous decision that Phelipe Megiolaro will be suspended for two (2) matches and issued a fine for Violent Conduct.

It is the Committee's unanimous decision that Jack Price is guilty of simulation/embellishment.  Mr. Price will be issued a fine for this action.

Additional Competition Policy Issues

10.20.21 SJ-ATX

First and second half kick-off were delayed due to SJ arriving late to the field. Noted to MLS Operations.

During the pre-match pitch inspection, the RRA monitor video was flickering and deemed inoperable. Competition to investigate.

Flags behind the goal in the SJ supporter’s section blocked the penalty area camera view for the VAR. Noted to MLS Operations.

First half kick-off was delayed 70 seconds due to both Clubs not being ready. Noted to MLS Operations.

Second half kick-off was delayed 80 seconds due to both Clubs returning to the field late. Noted to MLS Operations.

Second half kick-off was delayed due to both Clubs returning to the field late. Noted to MLS Operations.

Profane chant from NSH supporters heard in the 20th minute and directed at CLB. Noted to MLS Security.

First half kick-off started 49 seconds late due to game day operations. Noted to MLS Operations.

During a post-match mass confrontation near the tunnel to the locker rooms, fans started throwing objects (i.e., drinks, etc.) toward and verbally abusing the players. Noted to MLS Security.

Second half kick-off was delayed one minute due to broadcast. Noted to MLS Broadcast.

Second half kick-off was delayed due to NYC leaving their locker room and arriving to the field late. Noted to MLS Operations.

The VMD did not attend the Match Coordination Meeting and did not introduce himself to the match officials prior to kick-off. Noted to MLS Medical.

VOR mechanical privacy blinds were inoperable creating less than ideal lighting and privacy for VAR operations. Stadium technicians addressed the issue within the first half of the match.
