07.30.22 NE-TFC Insigne Behavior post-match
It is the Committee's unanimous decision that Lorenzo Insigne exhibited inappropriate behavior following the match. Mr. Insigne will be issued a fine for this action.
07.30.22 SJ-RSL M. Lopez 2YC dissent post
As per the disciplinary notice distributed on Wednesday, July 27th, Marcos Lopez was placed on Official Warning. Under the Official Warning policy, if a similar offense occurs the MLS Disciplinary Committee may deviate from Parameter 3. Accordingly, it is the Disciplinary Committee's unanimous decision that Marcos Lopez will be suspended for one (1) additional match (two (2) matches total) and issued an additional fine for exhibiting aggressive behavior toward a match official(s).
Additional Competition Policy Issues
07.30.22 MIA-CIN
The MIA Audio Recording Device only has one microphone attached to it. The RLO indicated that MIA has submitted an order for a replacement. Noted to MLS Operations.
After a MIA goal in the 23rd minute, a fan located behind the CIN bench threw a can of coke and hit a member of the CIN bench. This occurred a second time in the 37th minute. On both occasions, the CIN Team Administrator brought the issue to the Match Director’s attention. The Match Director notified MIA Operations who apparently notified stadium security. Noted to MLS Security.
07.30.22 NE-TOR
Stadium game clock malfunctioned and was 12 seconds behind the Referee’s whistle to start the match. This occurred in the second half as well and resulted in a 6 second difference. Noted to MLS Operations.
07.30.22 CHI-ATL
Field quality was a concern from the technical staffs. Noted to MLS Operations.
07.30.22 LAFC-SEA
The Referee approached the 4th Officials’ Table in the 23rd minute to inform stadium operations and the Match Director that water and/or beer was being thrown on the SEA goalkeeper from the stands. An announcement is made over the stadium PA and no further incidents occur. Noted to MLS Security.
