07.08.23 CLT-CIN Murphy 2YC Failure to leave field 75min

It is the Committee's unanimous decision that Cincinnati FC defender Ian Murphy failed to leave the field in a timely manner.  Mr. Murphy will be issued a fine for this action.





07.08.23 CLB-NYC Nancy RC Irresponsible behavior 87min

The incident was reviewed under Disciplinary Committee Parameter #2: Where the Officials See an Incident, and Issue(d) a Red Card, the Committee may review the play for further disciplinary action. Supplemental discipline (suspension and/or fine) will be administered if the Committee believes:

  • the offense is egregious in nature; and/or

  • it must act to protect Player safety; and/or

  • it must protect the integrity of the game; and/or

  • the Player is guilty of repeat behavior.

    It is the Disciplinary Committee's unanimous decision that Columbus Crew Head Coach Wilfried Nancy will be suspended for one (1) additional match (two (2) matches total) and issued an additional fine for irresponsible behavior.

It is the Committee's unanimous decision that Columbus Crew Head Coach Wilfried Nancy failed to leave the field in a timely and orderly manner.  Mr. Nancy will be issued a fine for this action.

 

07.08.23 CLB-NYC Pizzuto RC Irresponsible behavior 88min

The incident was reviewed under Disciplinary Committee Parameter #2: Where the Officials See an Incident, and Issue(d) a Red Card, the Committee may review the play for further disciplinary action. Supplemental discipline (suspension and/or fine) will be administered if the Committee believes:

  • the offense is egregious in nature; and/or

  • it must act to protect Player safety; and/or

  • it must protect the integrity of the game; and/or

  • the Player is guilty of repeat behavior.

    It is the Disciplinary Committee's unanimous decision that Columbus Crew technical staff member Federico Pizzuto will be suspended for two (2) additional matches (three (3) matches total) and issued an additional fine for violent conduct – throwing liquid at and on a match official.

It is the Committee's unanimous decision that New England Revolution midfielder Latif Blessing failed to leave the field in a timely manner.  Mr. Blessing will be issued a fine for this action.

 

07.08.23 HOU-SKC Ferreira YC Contact Kinda 99+min

The incident was reviewed under Disciplinary Committee Parameter #3: Where the Officials See an Incident, and Do Not issue a Red Card or Act on a Case of Clear and Obvious Simulation/Embellishment that Meets the Conditions for Suspension Outlined in Section (VI.B.5.d.), the Committee shall issue the following:

  1. One (1) Match Suspensions - On incidents in which PRO acknowledges an on-field Referee/VAR error AND the Committee is unanimous at Red Card and One (1) match or Action Taken (simulation/embellishment); or, in cases pursuant to Section (VI.B.4.d.) Official Warnings; or,

  2. Two (2) or more Match Suspensions - On incidents in which discipline warrants at least a two (2) match suspension.

The play in question must be, in the unanimous opinion of the Committee from all available evidence:

  • a clear and unequivocal red card; and

  • egregious and/or repeat behavior in nature, and/or

  • the Committee must act to protect Player safety or the integrity of the game.

  • Clear and obvious simulation/embellishment

                                                                                                                                 

It is the Committee's unanimous decision that Houston Dynamo FC forward Sebastian Ferreira will be suspended for one (1) match and issued a fine for violent conduct.

 

07.08.23 MIN-ATX Hlongwane Simulation-Embellishment 68min

It is the Committee's unanimous decision that Minnesota United FC forward Bongokuhle Hlongwane is guilty of simulation/embellishment.  Mr. Hlongwane will be issued a fine for this action.

 

07.08.23 LAFC-SJ Daniel RC Failure to leave field 56min

It is the Committee's unanimous decision that San Jose Earthquakes goalkeeper Daniel failed to leave the field in a timely manner.  Daniel will be issued a fine for this action.
